All us guys on our lease shoot Savage bolt bull barrel. Very accurate. We easily shoot squirrels at 200yds off a bench rest. Fun as heck to shoot.

That's what I have....Savage 93R pre Accutrigger. Have had it since the .17 HMR was introduced. Loud ...yes Bad to wind drift ...yes. Accurate....AF !! Have killed a metric shit ton of stuff with it.

I have a Savage heavy barrel bolt action .17 HMR. As already said, it is loud compared to a ,22lr. Wind drift is bad. Pretty accurate and fun to shoot. Better head shoot any small critters you want to eat, it will tear the crap out of them. I bought mine for shooting foxes as we were on a lease with a ton of foxes and they were fun to call. It is pretty much perfect for foxes and does good on bobcats too at reasonable distances. I have killed a few hogs with mine but it isn't really enough gun. Even for coyotes it really isn't enough gun. You better head shoot coyotes and shoot pigs in the ear or they are going to run off.

Savage A17. Deadly on beaver. It is loud, buddy of mine put a suppressor on his. And a thermal. Fun gun to shoot. Killed a few pigs as well, wounded a few others.

Love my A17. I have never shot it without a suppressor so I have no idea how loud it is. To mimic everyone else, accurate as hell. Funky stock on it though, horribly uncomfortable to carry, it just doesn’t balance out anywhere it’s not hard to hold with one hand. Going to get a Boyd’s stock for it eventually. Head shoot the piss out of turtles with it on the ponds all over the lease.

Pfft on you rimfire guys. A near full charge of Varget pushes a 20grn Vmax a little over 4200 fps out of my 17 Remington. Fun stuff on coyotes and foxes coming to a predator call.

HMR, rem, fireball, HMR Mach 2, WSM???

Assuming HMR, I love it so much I have 2. I've killed turkey sized birds to a ranged 212 yards with a NEF single shot with a Tasco. Piles of coyotes and few pigs. It is loud but I find it flatter and funner than 22lr or mag

Second rifle is a bolt savage I shoot suppressed. It's about 22lr quite with a can
