  • Casting net?

What’s a good one not for bait but cleaning out a catfish pond. I see some that fold up into a compact package before you throw. I don’t want to spend a lifetime learning to throw the f’ing thing like a coonass.

You need to ask how to get them out of a cast net lol

Dynamite. It's easier to net them after.

If it is a private pond why not shock it?

No help on which one to get but I can teach you how to throw it where it hits the water shaped like a crescent moon every time.

I would move this thread to the Vietnamese forums. They can probablly help you out.

Wait a minute.....they'll tell you how to walk a creek with a dude on each side of a straight net and catch every fish in the area.

No, they just have a FB page, no website. Just a dude who makes nets. His number is 850-838-0104. He's out of Lamont Florida. he makes a good net and what I like is he'll make them how you want with however much weight you want and whatever size mesh you want.

Not much to see. Just an old cracker throwing nets. You have to call him and talk to him to order. He doesn't have prices and options on the FB page even. They throw good and hold up good but are not real cheap. I think my last one was about $125. If you like to throw them on rocks, oyster reefs and logs you are prob better off with a wally marks one with the plastic weights. But if you want a good net that throws well those Florida crackers make great nets.

I try to keep my nets under a hundy as I usually tear it up after 1 shrimp season which is about 2 trips. I haven't been since da last hurricane so no telling what I'll be throwing on. I will throw my old torn up net first just to see if there are snags before I break out a good net.
