Anybody got em? I’m sure some of you old fuckers do. I have significant loss in my left ear and was recommended getting one. Seems like a pita to have to deal with though. Worse than not hearing people talk with background noise

I got one a few years ago. I have some hearing loss in my left ear as well, and severe tinnitus in both ears. I can hear someone speaking, but if there lots of background noise, I can't understand what you're saying. I got the hearing aid as it was supposed to "filter out" the background noise. It didn't and about the only thing it did was amplify the ringing from the tinnitus. I tried wearing it for about a year, gave up.

okay listen and learn or don't I don't care
don't skrimp on quality, if you do they will only amplify the shit that annoys you.
Get over the ear, even though you are vain, but in the canal will give you narley ass ear infections.
you either want to hear or you want to look pretty your choice.

I would take crickets over this coaches whistle I have going on constantly.Originally posted by DedDuk View PostI’ve got some. Around 50% hearing loss in both ears. Constant crickets most of the time. I rarely wear mine. Usually only in meetings at work. I enjoy the world much better without them in.

This.Originally posted by Iluvlabs View PostI need em. Don’t plan on getting them for a long time though. Like others here, my biggest problem is with any background noise. When people are talking I just try to read lips and smile and nod.

Tinnitus is overwhelming at times, but usually when I'm in a quiet, indoor environment.
I used to ask people to speak up or say "huh?" all the time.
Now I just nod like I heard em and move on.

The problem with nodding in agreement, which I frequently do, especially when they were masked up and behind those stupid sneeze guards, is you really have no idea what you are agreeing to or with.Originally posted by SunriseSuperman View Post

I have trouble in a crowd with lots of shit going on. I will often just give up and go be a recluse. I kinda prefer that, anyway.Yankee Bird Flu Goose Guide and FF Karen!
