What are folks using now? Need something that will put out some light. There’s a couple spots that I walk into that I want more than a tiny little light in front of me.

      Princeton Tec Apex

They EAT AA batteries, but they are very very bright. I use rechargables and keep several sets on me. I can see to drive the boat with it through timber when the hardhat light failed. 650 lumens , $69 on Amazon, waterproof, guarenteed not to tip run or snag.
Have had one for years and bought another for backup this year as the strap on the first one is about to give out.

Have to turn it down when setting up a goose spread because it blinds folks

The rechargable headlamps ( with onboard batteries) are a good way to find yourself in the dark.

My go to for electronics like this is to get cheap ones on amazon. Usually last at least a couple of years and replaceable for cheap.

I’ve got this one. It’s very bright imo, and I’ve had it for several years no issues. Looks like they even have a brighter 1500 lumen one too.

I use a sniper hog lights headlight. U don't need a spotlight in boat either.

This one has been good for me. Rechargeable and I just keep it in the console plugged in so it doesnt get lost.

                        Cheap Amazon headlamp light bars.

I have a bad habit of breaking an loosing headlamps. These are often run on sale. Charge lasts more than long enough for a goose spread set. Bright, but not blinding to others working around you.

Have had it for years, battery holds a charge for a longtime and is plenty bright when you need it.
