  • You ever look up an old friend on the internet?

I was piddling on the computer the other night and began to search from folks I knew in high school. I went three years to HS another town and moved back to E. Tx for my senior year of HS.
I search for a couple of buddies and couldn't find one of them at all. I looked up the first two girls I ever went on car dates with back in the 70's.
    They are both deceased.
Makes me feel old, kinda wish I hadn't looked 'em up.

no, but I remember seeing several in jail when I worked there. In fact one guy who thought I tried to cornbread his ol lady promised to 'stomp a mudhole in my ass'
the next time he saw me. Guess were I saw him next. He later thanked me for not taking him into the mat room

      Nope.

There’s a reason I fell out of touch with them.

Especially looking up old females that I had encounters with. Nothing good comes from that.

“Saw a deadhead sticker on a Cadillac, a little voice in said my head said, ‘ Don’t look back….you can never look back.’”

          Love that line.

I looked up old friends and found a FB page that has updated memoriam page for my old HS, sometimes I wish I never found it but at least I know what happened to some fellow classmates that I had known since kindergarten along with all my teachers, except my 8th grade algebra teacher who was a babe in her day and is now in her 80's,,,what it really taught me is to remember people the way they were when we were young and friends and be glad i didnt have to see them when they were older and ill and just a shell of themselves

My favorite part of the day is seeing someone I know on the police reporter daily arrests page. Even better is seeing a hot chick, that usually requires a coworker to come verify her jailbird hotness.

I have some in the past. Got to where I dont bother anymore. Seems like most I look up are deceased.

I didn't associate with most of the ones I went to HS with, and can't remember 90% of their names.

My wife tells me every so often that someone died and I have to have her show me a picture so I can remember.

As for teachers and what not, I'm sure it will come as a huge surprise but I wasnt' all that popular with the Admin so don't really pay much attention to them.

I do keep up with some Corps buddies and several of them have croaked over the years.

I still get FB notifications from one of them since his kids won't delete his page and keep posting on it.

I have helped the gal who planned our reunions for 50 years. Found a lot of classmates online, particularly on Facebook.

I guess I should Clarify. I had nothing in common with highschool classmates. I left home at 15 and was dating a Senior when I was a softmore......who I eventually married. I used to check up on old acquaintances, but never classmates. I grew up fast and had zero in common with any of them. I had work to do to pay rent. No time to Fug around with all that stupid shit.

I never planned to contact any of them. Just wondered what happened to them.
It’s true you can’t go back. I drove back thru Rosenberg about a year ago. First time back since 1977. Sure has changed. Couldn’t even find my old work place and wasn’t even sure I was on the right road. I did find Larry’s Mexican restaurant. Food was OK but it is pretty much a dive now.
My wife didn’t much appreciate me pointing out where I got my first French kiss. I didn’t dare point where I got my first piece. 😄
