Me and a buddy got drawn for a antlerless/spike gun hunt at lake Cooper in Dec. Anybody been on one of these draw hunts that can advise me on how these hunts are ran? Do they assign compartment, go hunt where you want to, etc?

I assume it’s similar for deer hunts, but don’t know.
I've been on 10 or so from gator to exotic. Rifle to muzzle loader. 90% of the people running hunts are cool. Then you get the others

One hunt the volunteers where so over bearing on stuff it was ridiculous. Safety briefing took 4 hours. Couldn't track deer off the road etc
Then we had one that was in BFE. The biologist checked us in, assigned compartments and went home. Said he be back in the morning.
