It's a concept never done before, and it's about to happen in Bexar County: Getting a traffic ticket sent to your phone without an officer pulling you over. One police department will be the first in the nation to test it. "It's not a 100% solution, but it's a step forward in the right direction," said Val Garcia, President
Trusted Driver is not an app.

It's a web-based program where drivers can avoid seeing a police officer face-to-face, and instead get a ticket via text message.

Honestly, I think it is in your best interest to do it.

That's bullshit. You can get a ticket for doing nothing wrong. There are crooked officers trying to make quota.

Think about it. Sign up. Speed through Bexar County. Get texted a ticket. Don't pay it. Let it go to a warrant. Go back to Bexar County Get arrested. Sue that ass for false arrest because you we not the driver....they can't prove it. They never stopped and identified you. Take their $100k to go away.

Guess I should feel lucky I got myself another analog ticket before they go full digital. Apparently Wharton county is not a supporter of fully stopping at stop signs.

What do you think all these LPRs are for? FYI not just for the reasons they tell you.

They say voluntary at first, which becomes mandatory in a few years.

It's one way to beat a DWI. You still get a ticket but that's a lot cheaper.

Well enlighten us then. I know why my former agency went with them, and then away from them. But why do you think?
