  • Sentimentality.....for my bro

Some of y'all know i have a brother who died in 2007 when his triplets were 2. Fast forward and they're now 22 (2 girls and a boy). My nephew just graduated with an industrial distribution degree from a&m and he's about to move to Dallas to work for Pepsi.

When my brother died, I kept his Sig p220 to one day give it to my nephew. I pretty much forgot about it, but my nephew didn't....he asked about it a week or so ago and asked if he could take it with him to Dallas.

Long story short, I pulled it out of the safe today, stripped it, cleaned it and got it ready for him. Gonna take him to the range one night this week and present it to him.

    He's a great kid and I couldn't be happier that he wants his dad's pistol. I know......csb.

And proof that I actually did the cleaning..... 🤪

May be some dust in the air at the range that day. Well done.

Good on you Dane. Nieces and Nephews need someone to step up and stay locked in when the world throws them a heavy, early sinker.

Yep, agree 100%. Their step dad has been pretty worthless from the get go, but my dad, their "pappy", was a HUGE influence on them until he died in December 2019. I did as much as I could with them given i was raising my own two, and he and Wilson are best buds. Thankfully, all three have turned out pretty great in spite of everything. I'll try to post up a pic or two from the range.

Awesome. Way to set an example of what men should be.
