She is a sophomore and pick up golf two years ago. This year she is the #1 golfer on her team. They lost all the seniors as they decided to not play this year.

Yesterday was her first golf meet and she played really well other than the last hole. She was 10 over going into the last hole and she took a 7 on a par three. She hit it over the water but into some shit and then buried her second shot into the grass and had to take an unplayable shot.

She ended up shooting 50 and tied with a teammate for second but lost the card back and got 3rd. The girl that won shot 45 and she was right there with her the entire round until the last hole. She played great golf until the one bad t shot.

They played the #1 school tonight. They have twin girls that are seniors that are the top two golfers in the state, both will play D1 next year in college. Its going to be fun watching her play them!

Always enjoyed your posts about her & her brothers. She sure seemed to hang tough with them when she was little. Great to hear her about her growing up & her golf. I didn’t know her name was Maddie. We have a Maddie too. Grown granddaughter though. Keep the reports coming!

It’s Madison but she goes by Maddie a lot.

She shot 48 last night and tied her teammate for 4th place. The team they competed against won the last 3 state titles. They have identical twins that are D1. Those girls shot even and plus 1. They were as nice as can be to my daughter and the other gal from our team. It was impressive to see how good they are.

Yeah, from what I understand, they have to offer as many female golf scholarships as they do for males, and there is a shortage of talent.

Yep. Same in shotgun sports. Frustrating when girls shooting 50 and 60% are being chased by schools
