This Lufkin High kid is about 5'4", 132 pounds. Broke state record in regionals and then again at the finals.
From the article:
Lufkin's Eli Ochoa capped off a spectacular powerlifting season with a state championship, and once again he did it in record-breaking fashion by winning the 132-pound weight class by 150 pounds.
Ochoa had a squat of 580 pounds, a bench press of 380 pounds and a dead lift of 570 pounds to finish with a total of 1,530 pounds.
That outdistanced Liberty Hill's Jayce Gonzales, who finished the event with a total of 1,380 pounds.
He also beat the 275 Weight class Lufkin finalist and the 308 pound guy from Lufkin who made it to state. That is remarkable.
