I think you need to figure out what fish you are fishing for and go from there, if you are going to fish off the bank on your own. But typically spoons, jigs and paddletail type soft plastic swim baits work well on most predators. Add topwaters/poppers and you should have enough to keep you busy. Figure out the fish and then from that the size lures and rods, reels, line and leader sizes to fish those lures well and hopefully be able to catch whatever you are after.
