It is currently 0° in Lubbock. 3° is the coldest I have seen before this. At least the wind isn't howling yet! Should be interesting when it warms up so I can see what all is totally fucked.

Its 14° here and sunny. We have about 4” of snow and 2” of ice on the ground. My youngest lives about 1 1/2 hours South of us and they got nothing but freezing rain which dropped trees and power lines every where. They live remotely and had to clear about 100 trees that had fallen on their 1 mile long driveway to be able to get out if needed. They’ve got the generator running so could be worse.
Duck season here closes on the 31st but its over for everyone except the private land folks that have ice eaters running. None of us will get to hunt the thaw since high temps won’t get above freezing before its over.

26 here still, was 18 at daylight. Supposed to get above freezing about 2pm. Sun is shining & big chunks of ice is breaking off the roof & crashing down. We will have freezing nights through next weekend.Comment
