13 here, nothing above freezing for the rest of the week. As of yesterday, 218,000 homes served by Nashville Electric Service had no power including me. We boogied north to my daughter's house as she had power.

It's 25 here. I sat in my truck with the a/c blasting after shedding layers and shoveling snow from the driveway. Too old for this shit.

I almost fell down in the HEB parking lot earlier. Wallet that was in my right hand wound up about 10’ away on the ground.

Damn cold. Hunted in -1 in 1989 on fork. Only remember cause radio told us it was coldest day of that century. We shot ducks. It was like everything moved in slow motion.

We hunted an afternoon in the late '90's. Don't remember the air temp, but the windchill was 35 below. Lake was open when we set up and we had a helluva time busting the decoys out of the ice when we finished. That's the only time I've ever shot a straight up limit of drake mallards. Watched ducks migrating by the thousands down I 27. It was a day I'll never forget.

I cannot sit there and watch my decoys freeze in or even ice chunks drifting through..
I spend half my time fkn with ice to get it just right. My trolling motor iceeater couldn't keep a 20x20 open from skim ice so I abandoned that even though it would keep a 1ox15 open
And went to more bigger water for wind and dealt with ice sheets drifting down bank. It was almost like working ..I think it was more strenuous than working and hopefully it adds years to my life lol

                '03 or '04 I hunted in a st8 blizzard(well for Okalahoma it was a blizzard)

about 15yd. visablility and you heard the ducks before you saw them. One of the funnest hunts I've ever been on. Mallard drakes with Widge kickers

Been there love it and will drive through hell to get there.
Not blizzard but Sunday was as close to that as could be. I think my eyes were trying to freeze over as I couldnt see color at 20yds unless they hovered or lit or got sideways from me.
the only one good hunt this season.
