I see a handful in Lubbock, but not anywhere near enough to want to hang a feeder.

Sounds like you're jumping in with both feet in this retirement gig!

Nothing wrong with feeders but I grow several varieties of plants that they feed on. Not only do the plants provide natural nutrition but the little critters don't waste energy fighting over the flowers.

They are hitting my Turk's Cap plants right now...

They are thick right now. I only have 8 feeders out this year and they are draining 8 quart sized feeders every day.

              Bunch of dang democrats.

We do get a bunch in Cloudcroft, but I don't feed 'em. There's feeders all over the village, so they are well taken care of without me having to fart with a feeder for 3 days and take it down for however long in between trips.

GF used to 8-10 of em up at property that would literally have swarms of em. Got rid of those when I got rid of her. All the pigs, deer, the few turkey still around and trying to grow something to feed ducks, that’s all the wildlife I intend to feed now days.

Had a couple of feeders up several years ago and it seemed all that I could attract was wasps and bees, not many hummers.

We only have one feeder out, but they have been around consistently for the past week.

I filled 8 feeders last night after they quit for the evening. This morning they were swarming em at daylight. I looked at the feeders at 11am and all 8 were bone dry. They ate 2 gallons this morning. I just refilled them and they are swarming them right now. I bet a bunch are fixing to roll out on the little north breeze we are supposed to have. They usually feed extra heavy right before they leave.
