My parents came in town to watch our boys play football.

Monday the our sophomore had his game. He is a WR on JV. They played a really close game. He had 4 catches and 3 of them went for 1st downs. His second catch he was one step away from breaking it for a long TD. The first few games he wasn't getting any targets and the last few he is getting more and more opportunities. He is a tall skinny kid with decent speed that has always been more of a basketball player than football. If he can put a bit more weight on he should be a good player for the team.
Our younger 14 year old son had a football game last night. He had three catches, one 2 point conversion and two touchdowns. His second touchdown was with 22 seconds left to win the game. They were down 10 with under 3 minutes left. They scored on a bomb. The kicker had a great onside kick but the kid from the other team managed to grab it. They got the ball with 1:07 left but we had 3 timeouts left. The first play was a design QB run which we didn't stop all day, my kid dropped him for a 2 yard loss and almost stripped the ball. The very next play they tried to run to his side again but he turned it back inside to his teammates. The ran the QB on the same play for 3rd down and the QB fumbled giving us the ball back with 37 seconds left and a timeout. We ran the same play to our WR and he got caught on the 9 yard line. My kid is a TE but they put him in the slot, he is 6'0". He ran a nice corner route and he was wide open for the winning catch.

My parents were in town and got to see 2 great games. My dad cant walk far so we set him up in a chair by the one end zones. My kids two scores came right in front of him.

Considering Maxx's size I would think they would be OL or DL not WR.

The older boy definitely got his build from my wife’s side. He is tall and skinny. The younger one is closer to me. I played d tackle and right end. He is d end and tight end. He is about the same height I was but a bit thinner.

Too cool for your pops to see. My dad was long since passed. I know he would have reveled in their success.

                          What he said x1000!

Dang near all my Facebook memories right now include football for the kid. Damn knee injury derailed him his senior year. Did get to watch him play at NRG twice.

Glad the kids are doing well and the family was able to enjoy it with em. Soak in every minute if it as it comes to an end all too quickly. Miss watching my kids play, gotta wait for the grandkids at this point.
