30lb Turkey

Most don’t have a clue what a 30# bird is. I’ve only seen one other that went over 30. 32#, 1 1-4” spurs, 11 1-2” beard. Pack out was tough.

Nice mount duckpond! I am dropping it off at the taxi tomorrow. Damn those things are expensive they are almost 3X a deer mount.

We have to figure out the position. I think he wants it strutting cause it will look bigger but he also wants to be able to see the spurs cause they are pretty impressive also.

I found a guy that does the freeze drying for a 100 bucks. Is it worth spending that to get his specific head back or is that something you would never notice?

Ya he said he can request bigger heads. The 21 lb bird I shot the weekend before may have had a bigger head than this one.

The one the picture above is a FD head. My five bird mount is all replica heads as is the third one. Replicas are getting very good.

Talk to the Taxi we are going to send the exact head to the place in MO. He knew the guy and said he is one of the best in the business.

Looked up the NWTF records and the 30.62lb bird would be 8th registered in Iowa. Pretty cool for him, he is pretty excited about this bird.
