Needed more shooters this morning on the wood ducks. We had our 6 quick and then watched them come in for the next hour. Had a flock of five mallards...

Had a good hunt in the ice this afternoon. High tailing it back to Texas in the morning.

Youth deer hunting this morning by Somerville. Lots of big volleys on the lake. Zero food out there so obviously migrating birds.

Theyre all over the southern half of Brazos and Grimes county now. Theyre about 1/2 tame but who cares. Somebodys pets that got out of hand....

Old wise ducks. Lots of stories this year of people finding birds and then getting humbled. Everything landing 100 yards out or swinging and leaving....

Spent 8 hours scouting south Toledo Bend Wednesday. Every little nook and cranny between Indian Mounds and Texas islands. All the spots where we've found...

Nice pile. Remember hunting Lacoste lodge in late January one year and 16 of our 18 birds were bluewings.
