  • We Were The Lucky Ones

Yall should watch this show if you haven’t already. Just finished it tonight. Truly amazing story. Hard to believe a Jewish family most of which were trapped in Poland managed to live through the entire war.

    It’s on Hulu.

Yes it is. The lady that wrote it is a direct descendant of this family.

        same but different.

I waited patiently for Masters of the Air only to be disappointed. The better story in the whole thing is the dudes that get shot down being smuggled back

As a whole, MOA was definitely a let down. I feel like it needed to be stretched another episode to tell some stories that needed more time to tell.

Honestly the way they tied in the Tuskegee Airmen screamed “Inclusion”… They could make a whole series on those guys alone. The Tuskegee airmen had nothing to do with the Eighth Air Force other than they wound up in the same Gulag as some of the 100th guys. I feel like they spent a couple of episodes telling that story when it didn’t need to be told.

Also, the scene when Egen gets shot down and walked through a town of angry Germans really happened but not with the 100th. It was a crew of guys off a B-24 or B-25.
