The article on the ESPN website made sure to mention he was charged with the 1994 murder of his ex-wife and her friend in the first sentence. Ole Marsha Clark left the door wide open for his defense team to create doubt in that case. Pure tragedy for the victims families.

The State will always be behind the 8 ball when battling deep pocket defendants.

If prosecutors are worth a shit, they don't stay in that position very long. They move to the defense side where they can charge defendants the big bucks. Who can blame em?

                    Follow the dollar.

You ain't wrong. Two of the best prosecutors I've worked with have gone to the dark side. The others have become judges

That said, LAPD absolutely fubared that case

The airing of his trial came on when Gilligan's Island was supposed to air and ruined my summer break from school.

I was on my way to see my brother in Bozeman. Watched the slow speed chase in Limon, Colorado. I was trying to watch a Rockets game. That was back when the NBA was half-ass watchable. After that, paid little attention to the whole rigmarole until they let a murderer off. Flabbergasted, I was.

They never got to Jack McCoy, he fought the good fight until the very end.
