Strange occurrence

About two weeks ago I pulled into the office and got out of my truck, as I headed to the door I pushed the button on my key fob and it didn’t lock the truck.
I went in got a new battery and went back out and boom it locked.
A few days later it wouldn’t lock again, and have been intermittent ever since.

Today my IT guy was on site and he mentioned that his wouldn’t work on Monday and was not working today.

They will not lock or unlock the vehicles from any distance, but they will let you start it once you get in.

So he and I surveyed all the folks in the office this afternoon and sure enough everyone’s is doing the same thing.

I drove around the shop on the street and it appears of you are about 200 ft from our lot, it works fine.
Everyone’s key fob works when they are off site.

Any of you ever experience anything like this?

The only thing I can come up with is maybe the Rental Company adjacent to my lot has installed some new trackers on their equipment and possibly their receiver is blocking our key fob frequencies.

That or it’s Trumps fault!

On a side note at my old house the neighbor down the street would come pick up my next door neighbor from time to time. He never went and knocked, just honked his horn a lot no matter the time of day.

One day I found out that his truck alarm went off if I used my truck's key fob close enough to his truck. . .

The same thing happens at the front gate of our deer lease to one of our members. The front gate is automatic/electronic for the oil field traffic. The only thing we can figure is there is some electronic interference from the gate controls. Everything works except when at the front gate. His truck is a 24 Chevrolet.

Yes, I have that issue from time to time. No cause that I have ever been able to figure out. It works for 20 times then all of a sudden it won't. Then it works again. Occasionally for no fucking reason the damn alarm just starts going off. I just assumed it was because I switched from Ford to GMC.

My wifes Grand Wagoneer does the samething.

Multiple times we have been laying in bed and the damn alarm just starts raising hell. No reason, just does it

There's been quite a few posts on SM about this. Karen's freaking out because they can't get their fob to work at specific locations.

Funny one was when a guy asked in comments why she didn't use her key.

"I DONT HAVE A KEY. JUST THIS STUPID FOB THINGY"

He told her to push the button on the side of the fob and a key would fold out.
