  • Easiest Layout Blind

I find myself tired of the pin together stuff. Got a new goosebuster ( old standby) this year and it already shit the bed. On the way back to Rogers.

I have a Lowrider 2.o by FA that is wrecked from sandy fields. Most of my stuff is rather old. Getting ready to pull the trigger on several.

I typically strap them to the bow of the boat. What say you fellers? I want full size blinds with frames in the doors, not the light weight packable shit. Had piles of those from early years crane hunting

These are a little bulky and heavy, relatively speaking. But extremely comfortable and easy as pie to set up and take down.

I bought a couple of those goosebuster ones from Roger’s before my last trip and just for shits and giggles I wanted to try one out the last day. Completely fucked me, what a pile of shit. I felt like I was hunting out of a sleeping bag.

I’ve been killing birds out of my goosebuster LP for lots of years. Works fine.

Rig em right X factor. They don’t break down that small if that’s an issue for transportation.

If you can find an Avery m2 they were just bigger ground forces.

Tanglefree snap blind isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t trust it to be a long term usage time.

Was in a layout for the first time in over decade this year at the OK shindig. I will say, either they are a lot more comfortable than I remember, or these were really good. They were really easy to hunt out of and had nice big doors.

Keep in mind, this was dry land hunting and they had cut the bottoms out of them.

So I lied, I looked up a goose buster. That’s not it.

These have no frame in them. They have this shitty back rest that you try and spread as wide as you can to keep it up right. They have a tiny bar built in front of the door and no frame where your feet are it. It’s like a sleeping bag. Get my feet so wades up in it with waders on that I spend 2-3 minutes trying to get out.

Sounds like the FA eliminator express blinds. I have a half dozen of those. Used to use them crane hunting and Long walk ins. Havent had them out of the trailer since I got an A frame. Have a pile of goose huntin chairs and Ghillue blankets as well.

I have one of those too that gets very limited use and is reserved for guests are ling walks too.

I still use a finisher but I'm sure there are better now.

Went and looked at the receipt. Goosebuster 2.0 Low Profile blind.

I think it’s the low profile part cause I looked at the GooseBuuster 2.0 and it appears it has a frame you put together inside to make it more rigid. These do not have that.

Yes the LPs are not comfortable at all. Good for a young person, or to hide birds during a hunt.

I orderd a Cabela's house brand renegade quick set up and a FA Knock out. Will grab one of the Alps outdoor Legend here soon. My hangup with just going with the Alps is they look like they sit pretty high or a mans chest would be pushing up the doors. My azz got Fat again, but its coming off.

                          Appreciate it

Yeah. Mine is the LP, its cover on the ground. Not built for comfort. Still helps with wind and hides me so I can shoot birds in their face. All the things I need!

I have two...Mo-Marsh and the other I can't think of right now. The Mo Marsh is heavy as snot. If you can boat or drive it to the spot, great. Little legs will keep your butt dry.

They all are sort of a pain to set up. Little clips and pins to get missing in the dark and cold fingers. Once they are set though, pretty comfee to get down into.

A couple tips. Old nasty hay is a great under coat for brushing them. Not new hay. It is too bright and yellowy. Old moldy gray hay. When you think you got enough on there, stuff that much more. Next, electric pruners for cutting grass and brush at the hunt sight. Just back off from where you are actually hunting and start cutting swaths of what ever is growing there.
