  • All the bad words........

I've been on a life long quest to find a truly waterproof bib. I've been through every brand you can think of, and had one set years ago that was pretty near perfection til I tore them crossing a fence. I felt like I couldn't justify Sitka for the price. Well, my daughter bought me some Sitka bibs before our Ak trip and they are indeed the shit. Totally worth the $$, and a Delta jacket is in my future. While cleaning up and unpacking last night I found about a 2" slit in one of the pockets. Apparently I slipped while butchering the 3 'bous. First f#$kin time I wore them. They are not compromised, but I'm wondering if it's worth it to send back for repairs, or just go until they need a "real" repair ?

If you won't use them until next year, send em back. Their customer service is great.

You will have them back in 2 weeks, they can and will do better if you told them You were going on a trip next week and you needed them back then.

Get one line, and log in to your account, then call their 877-748-5247 number and talk to them, they will walk you thru the process and have you back in action immediately.
I had them fix an issue for me this morning.

I’ve never needed customer service from Sitka or Chene but two of my friends have. One had a pocket zipper break on his Sitka waders and later ran a stob through the boot. Sent them in and were repaired and returned in less than a month. Other friend tore his chene waders on underwater barbwire. Repaired for free and returned in about a month.

I had my delta jacket repaired and my bibs replaced this summer for free. Turn around was about 2 weeks. Super easy. Get on their sight. Make a warranty claim, they send you a prepaid shipping label and ship. Be at your door in w weeks.

Fair warning, waders take a LOT longer in off season. That said, I didn't need them this off season and they were back in plenty of time for teal opener. Sent them back once during a duck season, expressed the importance and urgency, and they were back within a week. That was several years ago...don't know if they'd handle it the same way anymore
