I believe that Brazosboyt uses them in sub gauges to shoot all kinds of waterfowl and cranes. I started to purchase a .410 after reading his threads, but have not. I just dont trust Turkish stuff.

Yes! That’s who it was. He hunted all over with them and I remember him saying it never left him hanging.

That’s exactly what I want to do, thinking 28 or .410. Maybe just a 20. They have a ton of them at Cabelas and they swing really nicely.

I’ve got a Yildiz 20ga O/U which is Turkish and I love it. My favorite go to dove gun, screw luggin a 12ga around.

            Perfect.

What’s the cheapest box of .410 you’ve found?

And do you shoot the 3” or 2 1/2” for doves?

Yildiz 410 o/u is a very fun one to shoot, and probably gets more comments/questions from people than expensive 20/28s just for being a 410. It’s also somewhat disposable at its price point.

Only tri star I have been around was a 12 auto. Was problematic. Could have been owner/maintenance issues since if they could only afford a tri star they probably couldn’t afford a private gun cleaner.

I shoot 2 1/2 for everything. TSS or bismuth for ducks.
I bought a reloader and haven't bought any since before the covid shit.

Where are you sourcing your TSS?

I haven't dug out my scattergun loaders in many years. I may grab one of those .410s and will be calling ya about load recipe if/when I do.

My son won a Tri Star 20 gauge ou. It’s not a terrible little gun. It has run flawlessly.

Bought Wilson a youth 20 gauge Tristar when he needed something small. Ran without issue

Imagine how nice the gun would shoot/feel/handle if it was a real one that started with the letter ‘B’.

Don’t be a cheapskate. Buy once, cry once.
