First time I’ve really chased turkey in the spring. I can definitely see why y’all say it’s addicting! I toyed with this guy for a solid hour this morning but he never gave me a shot. He finally lost interest and bailed out. Went in to camp and had breakfast. About an hour later my cell camera goes off and he’s at the feeder. So I haul ass out there and try to stalk up on him. He’s gone from the area so I get back in the pop up and start calling. Almost immediately he gobbled back. Back and forth we go for 15 minutes or so. Finally he shows his head and caught a face full of #4’s for his trouble.

Nice!
Feeder whack’in turkeys, Texas style. Only thing better would buy to sniper them under the feeder with a deer rifle
I was always told they don’t eat worth a darn.
All those people lied. They are awesome! I even saved the legs and thighs to make turkey and dumplins.
I view them like quail, I don’t care method or way they become dead. Just as long as they are dead and can be made to get in my belly.

Slow cook the legs and then make Turkey pot pie.
