  • Is the sleep number bed any good

Time for new mattress. To many out there to pick from. Doesn’t seem to be anymore regular coil spring mattress. There is this kind of foam and this purple mattress with squares. We have had one of the foam mattresses for a couple of years now and don’t t like it, so I’m considering the sleep number bed if it really works, I’m just skeptical on a 3000 dollar air mattress. Thanks

Are you in the Houston area? Go to Houston Mattress Makers and talk to one of the people there. We bought a mattress from the Katy store last weekend. Very different from the high pressure sales at a Mattressfirm, etc. The girl we talked with basically asked about how we slept, then described different construction and material of the mattresses they make and showed us 3 different price levels. I like the fact that its a family owned company that does all their manufacturing locally and they build to your order. We bought an Esteem plush, which is a medium firm, high count pocketed coil with a small amount of memory foam in the top. Very comfortable for side sleepers. Gets here next Tuesday so we'll see if we made a good choice.

We bought a motorhome a couple of years ago that came from the factory with a SN bed. We slept better in it than any other bed we had, had.

We liked it so much a couple of months later I went and bought one for the house.

Sleep Number bed is the absolute best bed you will ever sleep on.
Get an I8 or higher, they are the ones that have the sensor technology and respond when you roll over or move.
I would also recommend that you get a king with independent adjustable bases, if you have a bed buddy. (Spousal Unit or GF).
The only bad thing about a SN is, when you travel you will miss it, they are bad ass and worth every penny.
