  • Talk is cheap until you talk to a lawyer

Just sat down and got a will going.

Thirty minute conversation cost two cases of BOSS shot shells.

I ain't giving legal advice, but ducko ain't far off. Assuming you don't have to worry about estate tax....if you do, then it's a whole other ballgame.

It's pretty much that simple. If all goes according to plan.

If the kid dies, leaving surviving grand kids there will be a trust to hold things for them until 25.

Mine is simple, 100% goes to my wife. When she goes it's split between the two daughters 50/50.

I hope that fee included all subsequent paperwork and whatnot and, if so, that's probably not so bad. But if you are paying $1000/hr for consultation only, you, Sir....well, I just hope they comped the lube.

                    You’re a cop and didn’t already have a will?

It's all in, and no I didn't. Next Thursday I will.

Never figgered on the worst happening and if it did I was gone anyway and the wife got it all. It's as much her's as mine.

We started and stopped a few times. Always hung up on who would raise the kid. Now that ain't an issue.

You’ve got to be pushing 60 and just getting a will?

My first thoughts as well. Had one since my first cruise in 85.

I turned 50 this year and just now turned in all my info to a lawyer to get ours drawn up. It’s an easy thing to procrastinate. Flat fee of $500 for my wife and me.

Wouldn't whoever ain't dead raise the kid?
