Lost the 1,000 acre farm I had permission to hunt last year. We only killed one doe off it anyway so it wasn't a big deal. It could have been a great farm if he didn't run cattle. We also found that everyone and their brother would hunt it. The biggest suck of all of it is the time and money I had in putting tree stands up. I went and removed most of them this spring. I still have 3 out there and I am not sure if it is worth getting them down at this point.

Pick up a 130 acre farm down towards Oceola. I have never hunted down there but it is typically know as big buck territory. This farm used to be owned by Terry Drury. Its 100 acres of beans and 30 acres of CRP with a few trees on it. There are also two ponds. I am in the process of putting in two 2 acre food plots. I killed the grass now I need to mow it and then wait for rain and get something planted. The beans will be great for early season and the plots will be great for late. I had a trail camera up for a month but it wasn't set up for shit. I moved it last weekend and over the last two days got some decent bucks.

Would really like to get a better picture of this guy.

I am not sure if I shoot any of those this year. My two younger kids would definitely shoot the first two. I have a feeling there may be some better ones on this farm yet.

Gonna pull cards this weekend. Finally broke down and picked up a few cuddelink cell cameras. Looking forward to that this year.

Old farm was grain and pasture. They ran the cattle on the grain after they harvested it. Don’t have permission there anymore.

New farm is grain and some CRP. Putting food plots in the CRP. It’s not under contract
