Ridiculous. I read where the federal tax on a gallon of gas is .18. That doesn’t chance crap for people if they do the gas tax holiday. The card or rebate cards is just as stupid.. this gonna go to everyone or just folks with cars registered in there name? How much? Will require 100’s of thousands of chips for card and there’s a chip shortage. Not to even bring up theft of the cards outta the mail.
And it damn sure ain’t free money.

I don't see how $0.18 / gallon cheaper is gonna make any difference. Still gonna cost me over $100 to fill up. Bullshit.

          Google says

          18.3 cents Federal tax
38.4 cents Texas state tax per gallon of gas. Diesel is more.

$0.18 per gallon would have saved me $408.24 last month.
              I’ll take it!

Cool, maybe it will work out for you and they suspend the federal taxes. I will never look down on another man’s good fortune. I don’t know how long they might intend to do that, if they even do. It wouldn’t save me anymore than a few dollars.

First, I do not need nor want a handout from these thieving motherfuckers. Secondly, when they reinstate the federal excise tax they will cite inflation for the reason it’s increased 25%.
