Imprinting is a thing, huh?
That, and photoperiod migration used to be a thing.
I used to be in a certain area in north central Texas the week of Thanksgiving to catch the flight mallards showing up like clockwork. There were a few times we actually witnessed them showing up from up high, and went for a few birds one day to lighting groups of 20-30 at a time the very next morning.
Then, would be at our place near College Station the first week of a December when they would show up there.Last edited by Greenheadless; 02-14-2022, 06:41 PM.

never addressed the fact that there are not as many ducks.

Well the issue may not 100% be the atv or boat. The straight pipe exhaust and 5k watt stereo may have more to do with it. You can check ground all day one if you play wind etc and never mess with birds. Make it sound like a dance hall/drag strip ya it will cause an issue.Originally posted by Oxbow View PostSo what I learned is that yall should stop driving around in your ATVs and boats to look for ducks.
