  • Broken antler/ legal buck?

    Never really thought about it.
Got a forked horn with a busted antler. It’s broken off, almost completely.

I know it would not be legal if he had both racks.

    What are the thoughts?
He is little, so I’d probably let him walk. Just curious

I’d say tie goes to you in this case. It’s an unbranched antler. No proof of what it was before it broke. They can’t ticket you on what they don’t know.

But I also think you’re right not to shoot it if he’s a little forkie.
