I acquired a 1998 HD Dyna low rider on the cheap as of late. Its literally got 2k miles on it. Old Evo motors are bullet proof. Thinkin hard of scrapping the bike and makin a long tail out of her. The original paper gaskets have a seep. Gotta pull the motor to put modern gaskets in her anyhow.
Whats a good Chassis of a long tail to drop it in?

So with bay boat prices remaining stupid priced I was thinking of snagging a used aluminum boat and slapping a mud motor on it. If we get a 21 foot bay boat like we’re after we’re not gunna be able to go where we could with my 17’er anyways. I’ve seen some used ones floating around. I don’t wanna break the bank so definitely won’t be putting a new rig together but my entire duck hunting regime revolves around having a boat these days. I probably let mine go a lil too soon, been kinda regretting it.
I wish you would've posted this earlier. I could have asked the 4 Sitka clad douchebags I ran into at the Allsups in Saints Roost how theirs worked out for 'em on Greenbelt.

You and I are still gunna make a hunt there one day. Without the Sitka or douchebags. Isn’t that the lake I was looking into or is it that other one that starts with a M?

No, it was Greenbelt. There's water in it, but them boys had a hard morning. Seems shorts weather and a total lack of ducks in the area makes for some tough hunting. They should've went crane hunting. So should've I.
My main hunting area (private and public) is much easier to hunt with a mud motor. I have a 16/52 and have a 35hp Go-Devil long tail. I also own a 9.9hp Go-Devil long tail. Excellent product, but in my experience terrible customer service. Couple of my close friends have had good success with Gatortail and Mudbuddy surface drives.

My parents ran up to the lake house in Brady yesterday to go pay a roofer. Dad went for a walk down around the lake this morning and said he saw a good number of ducks. Divers and teal. While he was on the phone with me a flight of geese flew over him headed south at 20,000 feet with oxygen mask on.
