DR produces some great cigars. None of them stay in DR because nobody there can afford them.

Have you ever been to the Caribbean before? Basically...no...it is a huge shit hole with high fenced enclaves for tourists. I mean literally shit hole because all of their shit just falls into the ocean. White PVC pipe with shit tags handing out of it dropping right into the water.

Been there twice and I wont go back. Worse food of any tropical place I have been, got Ecoli the first time. People are not fun, honestly they kind of suck. You can dog on Mexico and Jamaica but they understand the value of Americans and they treat you like it. We got the opposite feeling in DR.

It is resort dependent though. I know of a few people that went that say the exact opposite of what I just wrote.

Agree with those above, would never go back there. If you want to go that direction, Turks, V islands, even PR are much better than DR.

Hell I’d rather go to Alaska. It’s a free trip. My better half won a sales trip and I get to go along for the ride. So set my expectations low, got it👍.

It's not THAT bad, depending on the resort. MOST of the all inclusive places have crappy food, but you can make up for it if you're a drinker. Beaches are decent. Go with low expectations on food, plan to relax and make the most of it. It's a free trip through her work, which means it's use it or lose it. Same for us the only time we went (wife won it through her job). I'd go again if it was free. But only in that circumstance.

Turks was awesome place and we stayed at a nice resort. That said myself and 5 others got E. coli there also.

This. I wouldn’t pay to go back but if it was a free trip for something like that I would go. Beaches are nice. It’s one of the hotter places I have been.

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana/all inclusive/adults only. 2.5 hours from Santa Domingo airport, food was not ass (2023), white sand beaches and beautiful eye-candy... Don't listen to these pasty-stay-puff-marshmello-keyboard-window-lickers, DR has some sketch, but resort mentioned is legit... Just saying...
