Officially have no truck

Had to turn in my rental truck today. Cant afford to keep paying for it out of pocket. My insurance reached its limits, her insurance won't pick it up since I filed the claim on mine. I'll be riding the Harley for a while. Still no word on when Ford will be able to deliver the seatbelts for my truck. No aftermarket suppliers have them either. I'm fucked.

Where did the original seat belts go?

It's protocol to replace them in a high impact wreck. They consider them compromised and have to replace them.

There are none to be had, anywhere. But ill be scouring wrecking yards to find some till they can get the new ones in. Not sure if they will let me have it back doing that either. Body shop said they have about 5 or 6 vehicles waiting for parts to complete.

Some serious bullcrap. My truck is my truck. They have no right to keep it. That being said, I wont drive 20' without seat belts. Junkyard specials will do until new ones arrive. Caveat: my truck has been in H-town for a month and a half while my daughter waits for her car to be repaired. Finally got the part Thursday, now backed up waiting for tech.
