The Junk Yard Dogs remained undefeated and moved on to the semis in flag football today. They’ll be the only team in league history to not run a single run play the entire season. The coach couldn’t spell “car” I don’t think and they have zero designed plays. It’s actually pretty funny and refreshing watching them beat teams with coaches that have entire binders full of plays. Straight up playground football. Six TD passes for Rudy today.

Update, won the semifinal game 40-35 to advance to the title game. Awesome fall football conditions, 55 and a light drizzle for championship Sunday. Not awesome for a team that didn’t get a copy of the rules to know you could run the ball. Lost 26-22, Hail Mary was tipped 3 times as the buzzer sounded and finally fell to the ground. Rudy and I were sitting in the hot tub last night and I asked him what he’d learned from the season. He said “well after the first 2 practices I didn’t think we’d win a single game, so I guess I learned we were better than I thought.” 😂

Gradys team went 8-0, championship Thursday at 7 pm at Strake against The Woodlands Christian. Been a fun season and he's gotten miles better. He's also my height now, send reinforcements!

Wish I could make it, Andy. I'll be in waco for a deal with Georgia.

I was the coach with a playbook. In fact I used a iPad. The first game I forgot my printed sheets in the office so I grabbed my iPad. It worked so well I used it all year. My wife met up with a gal for work they talked youth sports and the lady goes on about crazy parents and says there is a coach with a IPad . It was so much easier to find the plays.

Congrats to all with kids playing sports. As bad of a rep as football gets I think it’s the greatest high school sport.

Boys got a win in the first round of the playoffs. Our qb sprained his ankle bad two weeks ago. He’s still a stud but he isn’t fully trusting it yet. He’s a difference maker.

Game was closer than it should have and honestly they should have won. We were up 27-24. They had the ball on the 20 going in to score. They did a half back option pass and we picked it off. There was 2 minutes left. We got the first down and we were able to take a knee. Fun game!

High-school ball and younger is about all I care to watch. Parents on mute would be best

I watch my grand sons games just like I watched his dads games.

From the endzone or the outfield.

it's the only thing that keeps me from getting kicked out

Only way to do it. I’ll not go before I have to sit amongst the masses.
