It’s been 14 years since our high school won it. We beat a team that has beat us 4 times in a row all buzzer beaters. We won 31-28. My kid played his ass off probably his best game of a high school player.

Hope your son is soaking it all in! Barring a massive collapse, Wilson's team will win district for the first time since 2005. They still have 3 games to go, but the competition remaining isn't good. That said, their last district game is their rival, so anything can happen.

He is! He’s been a starter for 3 years. He started on the same team as his brother 2 years ago! That team fell short of their talent so it’s pretty awesome going through this.

The other team was assholes! They hit our QB twice on kneel downs.

I hope these kids realize how special it is to win even district. I played 3 years of varsity football, 2 years varsity basketball and 2 years varsity baseball at mesquite in late 70’s and not once did we win anything. I still get angry at Highland Park and North Mesquite who always kicked our ass. Wilmer Hutchins in basketball is an entire nuther story. Once getting beat 97-23 lead by the midget Spud Webb.

Two games to go after tonight. First half was ugly. Feel bad for the other guys. For the record, it's senior night and a ton of 2nd and 3rd stringers have already been playing. Just now halftime.

Final was 56-0. 2nd and 3rd string entire second half. Next week should be another cake walk, and the final week a tight one with their rivalry. Then on to playoffs.

Won again last night 44-0.

Playoff pairings came out we got a really tough draw. First game should be a win but second game is the #1 team in the state.

They have a goofy ranking system. There are 3 teams ahead of us with 7-2 records one beat us by 1 in OT at there place. We are 8-1. We got the worse draw we could.

They value strength of schedule which you can’t control over losses.

If you get down to the final 4 you get to go to the Dome! That will be a tough task.
