  • How's our New Bransful/San Antonio area folks doing

I've just seen news reports but things look bad along the river.

Kerrville and Hunt is where the bad stuff is at.

13 dead already and 23 girls missing from a summer camp currently.

The soil there doesn't soak water up like it does here.

This kinda of hits close for me. The camp with the missing girls is camp mystic. I grew up going to camp la junta (just down the river). I went there from wrangler 1 (their youngest group) through advanced camper (obviously the oldest).

We almost set my brothers oldest son to camp this summer but decided to wait 1 more year.

There are other camps in area, but I only have first hand knowledge of La junta. There are videos of cabins floating off with people inside. Word is all La junta campers are safe and accounted for.

The camp mystic situation is very unsettling with a possible 23 missing. These more than likely are all young girls.

Prayers go out to those families.

My mother is there now with her search dogs. I can only hope there may be at least a few positive outcomes, but moving water is unforgiving even for the best swimmers.

It sounds like some of the missing girls from camp mystic were rescued. Unfortunately not all of them. What a tragedy

                        That's because there is none.

There are two very active threads over on TexAgs. Several posters on there have family and friends involved. One guy and his wife were able to get their daughter back, she was rescued from camp Mystic and they didn’t know it till they got there. You could tell by the emotions on the daughter and Moms faces in the picture he posted that they’ll be hugging her hard the rest of the weekend. Another posters niece is missing still.

This link was posted over there as well. If you look closely at the pictures, some of them it’s the entire family missing.

Yep, entire families gone. Worst case scenario. Holiday weekend, came in early morning in dark ,most people asleep along the river in campers.
