Finally

Been a grind around my neck of the woods this year, but a buddy and I finally got a few this morning.

Covered with pintails. Shot our 1 each and then had to watch the pintail show. Wish the mallards would have worked like the pintails did.



Then I had my top hand helping clean them. Bringing home ducks and having her be interested in them and eating them, warms my soul.

Nice hunt, glad you finally found some birds or had some show up at least.

I enjoy bringing them home and having Wyatt be interested as well. Really want to take him on a hunt but other than hiring a guide I dunno how we’d squeeze in a morning hunt. Maybe evening hunt somewhere.

The limit of 1 pintail is beyond stupid. The handful of times I've duck hunted the past 2 years it's nothing but pintails by the thousands.

Won't matter. I have had this lake hold water 2 years in a row, but 3 times in the past 20 something years. I may be dead before it holds water for a duck season again.

It more than likely is. I think everyone knows my opinion on a lot of things, but I would I be cool with 2.

The “science” behind this decision is a little bit of a stretch in my view.

I cannot remember exact years, but they played with the pintails/blue bills/cans during the same time.
